History

In the early 1900s, The Old Farmhouse sat surrounded by over 550 acres of Southern Downs land blessed with rich soil, perfect for farming. This is fruit growing territory, and warm summer evenings would be spent relaxing on the verandah after a hard day’s work, the sweet scent of ripening peaches filling the air.

A century-old, high set classic Queenslander surrounded by picturesque vineyards, The Old Farmhouse was saved from disrepair. Owner and host Nicki undertook an extensive restoration, preserving the ornate heritage features of the home, including charming internal and external fretwork, timber-lined walls and ceilings, original open fireplaces, polished hardwood floors, and soaring ceilings.

Now a bright and airy holiday home, each room beautifully styled with carefully-curated antiques and vintage curios, The Old Farmhouse is a luxurious yet relaxed stay in the heart of Granite Belt wine country.
